Create a new email address for your business, such as info@yourbusiness.co.uk, in the Host Dada Control Panel. It takes about two minutes, and the new mailbox is ready to use in webmail, on your phone and in Outlook.
Before you start
- You'll need your Client Area login (my.hostdada.co.uk).
- Your domain must be added to a Host Dada hosting or Business Email package. For mail to arrive, the domain's MX record needs to point to Host Dada. This happens automatically if your domain uses our nameservers.
- Check how many mailboxes your plan allows. You can see the count under Usage Information → Email Accounts on the package's home screen.
Step-by-step
- Log in to the Host Dada Control Panel. Go to cp.hostdada.uk, or from the Client Area choose Services → your hosting → Login to Control Panel. If you have more than one package, click Manage next to the domain you want.
-
Open Email Accounts. In the Email section, click Email Accounts.
All the email tools live in the Email section of your package.
-
Enter the name of the new address. Under Create Email Account, type the part before the @ (for example
info, salesorjane). If the package has more than one domain, pick the right one from the list next to the @.
Type the name, check the domain, then click Create Email Account.
- Click Create Email Account. You'll see "Email account successfully created" and the new mailbox appears under Modify Email Accounts.
- Set a password you'll remember. In the Change Password column, the box shows a suggested strong password. Copy it somewhere safe or type your own, then click Save. You'll need this password for webmail and for every device you set up.
- Test it. Sign in at webmail.hostdada.uk with the full email address and the password. New mailboxes can take up to 30 minutes to start receiving email.
sales@ to land in an existing inbox instead of being a separate mailbox? Use a forwarder. It's free and doesn't count towards your mailbox allowance. See Forward email to another address.Managing the mailbox later

- Junk Filter Level: make spam filtering stricter or more relaxed for this mailbox only.
- View Quota and Quota Notifications by Email: check how full the mailbox is and get a warning before it fills up.
- Webmail: open this mailbox in Host Dada Webmail.

I can't create another mailbox
Your plan's mailbox allowance is probably used up. Check Usage Information on the package home screen. Remove a mailbox you no longer need, replace extra addresses with forwarders, or upgrade your plan from the Client Area.
The new address isn't receiving email
Wait 30 minutes after creating it. If mail still doesn't arrive, check your domain's MX record points to Host Dada. Our Not receiving email checklist walks you through it.
The password won't work in webmail
Make sure you're typing the full email address as the username. If it still fails, set a new password in the Change Password column and click Save. See Change or reset an email password.
