Need help setting this up?
If you'd rather not deal with the technical side, we can fully set up and manage your Microsoft 365 for you — including email, DNS, and ongoing support.
When you type 1, a period, a space, and some text, then press Enter, Word automatically starts a numbered list for you. Type * and a space before your text, and Word makes a bulleted list.
When you’re done with the list, press Enter until the bullets or numbering switches off.
Create a list from existing text
-
Select the text you want to change into a list.
-
Go to Home> Bullets or Numbering.
Note: You can find different bullet styles and numbering formats by clicking the down arrow next to Bulletsor Numbering.
