All .uk domain names can be administered through the Nominet website. Nominet are the domain registry for all .uk domains.

To manage a domain through Nominet you will need to have access to the email address that the domain was registered to. Most registrars would register the domain against the email address that you use to communicate with them, however we have found that many freelancers and smaller organisations sometimes register domains to their own email address, in this case you will need to contact them to get the domain registrant email changed to your email address.

Assuming the domain is registered to your email follow these steps to manage the domain through Nominet.

Step 1

Go to https://secure.nominet.org.uk/auth/access-your-account.html and enter the email address your domain name is registered to and click submit.

Step 2

If you have entered an email address that is associated with a Nominet registered domain, you will receive an email containing a link in where you can reset your password. Simply click on the link, ad your password in the New Password and Verify New Password boxes and then click update.

Step 3

You will then be taken to the screen displayed below. Click on the log in link to be taken to your Nominet account login screen.

Step 4

Enter your email address and password in the relevant boxes and click on the Log in button.
