A regular email account functions in the way upon which one might expect. The standard features of an email account are present – including sending and receiving emails.

Such an account will allow for your emails to be accessed through webmail, or by using an email client (such as Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc).

What is email forwarding?

Email forwarding allows for emails which would get sent to one email account to get automatically forwarded to another. This is not limited to a single account, and can be forwarded to multiple different email accounts.

As an example, we could use example@kandeshop.com. By setting up email forwarding on this account, any emails received could be configured to automatically also get sent to user@kandeshop.com and user2@kandeshop.com.

An email account is not restricted to functioning as a regular email account or an email forwarding account. Kandeshop allow for email accounts to serve as a regular email accounts, with the ability to also automatically forward emails.

Setting up email forwarding
The process for setting up email forwarders will vary depending upon the package that is applied for your domain.
Below you shall find the two different interfaces you may encounter once you have logged into your control panel.

Interface one

Presented above is the first style of interface that you may be provided with. Several sections are displayed, the section you will need to access is the 'Email' section. To create a forwarder, you will want to select the option entitled 'Forwarders'. Once you have opened this section, it will bring up the forwarders dashboard. Near the top, you will want to select the option entitled 'Add Forwarder'.Once that has been clicked, you will be introduced to the screen where the actual forwarders can be created. The 'Address to Forward' is the address that emails will get forwarded from. Any email that is received will get sent onto another address.

The 'Destination' section below is where you will enter the recipient address. This is the email address that will receive
the forwarded emails.

Once the required fields are filled out, you will need to select 'Add Forwarder'.

Interface two
The second interface works in a similar fashion to the first interface, with some minor tweaks to the process. You will want to go to the section called 'Email'. Once you have found this section, select 'Email Forwarders'.The screen you get taken to is where the email forwarder will be created.

The 'Email' field is where you will enter the start of the email extension that emails are to be forwarded from.

The 'Domain' field should automatically be configured. This is simply the domain extension part of the email. Both fields should combine to display the full email that emails are to be forwarded from.

The 'Forward' field is where you will enter the email that is to receive the forwarded emails.

Once these are filled out, select 'Add Forwarder' to create the forwarder.
